Our delicious selection of vegan Quorn products make great ingredients for really tasty vegan meals. Everything looks and sounds very gourmet, but the two recipes I made from the book were super-simple to prepare. They are both so colorful, filled with gorgeous mouthwatering pictures and detailed recipes. Along the lines of keeping it easy and low-key, instead of fussing over some big casserole – I just ran down the street to The Bagelry.
As for tacos, the Pirate Tacos — portabella mushroom and avocado tacos with vegan cheese — have me drooling. All my recipes are 8 ingredients or less, not including salt, pepper and water. On our last afternoon in town, we managed to sneak in a visit to one more vegan food truck: Bistro Vonish I had heard so many great things about this wonderful spot. You might like some of the recipes in Cooking for One or Two , with any luck, they’ll inspire you to head back into the kitchen once in awhile!
I think she’ll love it as much as we do. In fact, my kids and Shawn all say they’d love it without the meat as well…and we’re pretty carnivorous around here so that’s a big deal at our house.
